Why? Were you going to invite me to a biker shindig? :D

No. I've heard of some things going on down there that I was going to ask if you'd heard anything about.

Armored vehicles at checkpoints or officers not wearing proper uniform.

Gotcha. Not what I was going to ask but since you don't live down there it's not important.

Those sheriff's deputy's are operator as frick. I picture that guy in his full kit practicing clearing his own house in the middle of the night. I bet his favorite thing to do is debate the exaggerated c-clamp grip with his "teammates" and post on ARFCOM.

so true

idk how many people will understand this, but those who do will LOL

BRPD or EBRSO had an MRAP parked outside the SW corner of Tiger Stadium at games last year. Guys were all kitted out in battle rattle, but they spent all their time dicking around on their phones.

I'm picturing these cops as junior staff officers who just walked out of the TOC after briefing the commander on the weather or something boring. Now they are going to scuttle back to their CHUs and Skype their college buddies while they get to wear all the crap they bought from Ranger Joe's.

The same people who question this are the same people that would cry neglect if a terrorist group targeted Tiger Stadium and there wasn't a well armed quick response team equipped with offensive weapons to eliminate threats.

guy filming is a douche. people like this deserve to be harassed by officers.

For the record I despise the ACSO & PD. They are quite over zealous in the way they conduct their business. They are revenuers for the city of Gainesville. I no longer go to games for that very reason, and I'm only 42 miles from Gainesville, because of their attitudes toward their citizens.

I despise someone like the jerk they pulled over even more, although I sympathize with what the lying Yankee hippie is saying. He has the right to express himself. Frick both parties. I hate both of em equally.

Pretty obvious these cops were probably returning from doing high risk warrants when they made the traffic stop.

Now, the debate of the traffic stops and even the use of such "tacti-cool" gear for warrants can be debated but to think they were out criminal patrolling in the "tank" is dumb

If that were the case wouldn't they need to get back to the station to take care of important things to do with these "high-risk" warrants instead of worrying about some hipster getting road head?

Jeez man, overacting much.... So you don't go to games anymore because of the police? I mean I don't like them either but damn haha.

What would they have to hurry back for? Debriefing? Reports?

I'm not saying the traffic stop wasn't a dick measuring contest. Just saying that it's reasonable to believe the reason they were geared up and in that vehicle when they made the stop was because they were likely coming from doing something that warranted the use of the equipment.
