In celebration of the U.S. Mint and Treasury's 225th anniversary, the new $100 coin was unveiled on Thursday featuring Lady Liberty as an African-American woman
quote:
The new 24-karat gold coin, which is set to be released in April and is meant primarily for collectors, is one of a series of new, diverse commemorative coins the Mint will unveil in the coming years. Future depictions of Lady Liberty, according to the Mint, will also feature designs to represent Asian Americans, Hispanic Americans, Indian Americans, and others "to reflect the cultural and ethnic diversity of the United States."

Why say "woman of color" when everybody knows that means a black woman?

She looks gold to me. Are they stereotyping based on facial features and hair??

Is Sacajawea comsidered a female lady person of color?
My sources say affirmative.
It says Liberty right over her head.
Case closed.

I hope they realize that only nerdy old crackers collect coins and will be none too thrilled with the new addition.

Let's put a black woman with stereotypical dreadlocks on currency to show we don't care about race anymore.

No one will buy these things. People are tired of anything "diverse".

She doesn't count because she should've aborted the papoose.

I mean black men only want the white womens so what's with honoring the fine arse African gals?
This country will not be fair and balanced IMHO until white mens get to bang out the fine black chicks of the world on TV, in commercials, etc. Kerry Washington, Paula Patton, April Love Geary ... white guys should be hittin' all of that.
I think this must be what this coin is all about.
