Purple and gold in the name is a troll, and can't mask that gump stench once it opens its mouth.

My wife hates all sports. We have young kids, so we all go tailgate, and I go to the games and she takes them back home.

It works out most of the time, but she'll occasionally guilt trip me about it. Unfortunately it means I don't watch much else than the LSU game.

I understand that completely, but I'm watching it. It would be like watching your favorite show and having to answer questions about the backstory for the entire hour.

I want to watch the show. Football is my "show" during the season. I want to watch it, not talk about it.

Sorry if that makes me an arse.

I always have good snacks.

Maybe don't invite her over for the games. Just watch in complete silence by yourself, taking diligent notes. What do you do if you watch the game at a bar? Stab whoever dares to speak or cheer?

Except Star Wars, it's totally reasonable for someone to be a hardcore fan of that, those movies are awesome.

I'm sorry your hobbies suck.

"Hardcore" is a relative definition anyway.

You may call me a hardcore metalhead given my music and memorabilia collection, but I have yet to carve "SLAYER" into my arm. Therefore, I'd say I'm "enthusiastic" at best.

With all the silence you will be able to hear her getting dicked across town.

If this is a serious question, I didn't invite her over. She invited herself. I told her how I typically watch games, on the edge of my seat in silence followed by outbursts of yelling, screaming and swearing.

And I don't really watch games at a bar. Too fricking expensive, and I quit drinking some time ago. I don't want to take up a seat the bartender could actually turn into a payday.
