Usually $1400, to $1800 clear for 2 weeks, approximately 8 days work. There are travel expense, gas, food, wear & tear on vehicle.

I recently went through a job change after many years in the same job. I would like to know more about how this pay works. Please email me when you can.

Good for you. Waking up to a job you dread has to be horrible. Then to leave work and home to an empty nest by natural order and then tragedy? Horrendous.

I'd take every damned travel assignment they gave offered.

It's weird how there are jobs out there that you would never imagine existing, if I hadn't seen this post I probably would have lived my entire life without ever knowing that. Sounds like a nice laid back gig for someone without many expenses.

This is an old thread. OP hadn't even posted at all since mid December.

Good luck though.

I manage a wine distributor and will cover for reps on inventory counts sometimes and must say it's nice getting out especially in the summer.

I traveled for a few months doing "transitional leadership" stints in my line of work.

If one does not have young kids and home obligations I can easily see how you would enjoy that.

I would fire you just for being a bama fan. That being said, going to work with a smile and leaving work with a smile while managing to pay your bills is handy. Congrats.

Sorry for your loss, but glad you are doing something you enjoy.

I'm at least 3 years away from retirement and my job is OK, but I would retire tomorrow if I could afford it. I would love to be doing something that I truly enjoyed and getting paid to do it.

doublecutter -

I screwed up the "retain" settings on my email which auto-deleted my 2016 emails. Would you be so kind to forward BGSB's email from July regarding the merchandising job he landed to :

pete.kelly@cox.net

My current job ends at the end of May and I'd like to try BGSB's path. Thanks very much, I appreciate your help.
