That is awesome. Glad you enjoy it as that is a stress free job and basically work at your own pace. Good for you man enjoy it.

I have a friend who just lost their wife 12 months ago.

I actually almost took a position in merchandising with my company. Sounds like you get paid better than I would have.

I mentioned the job to my boss here and he gave me a promotion in our location, so no go for me. I actually like seeing new places though. I'll never complain about work travel.

OP,

First off, glad you're enjoying your job and still living to the fullest. We've got a family member who's a widow, and he hasn't endured nearly as well as you have. Having said that, on to your description of the job:

Is there more to it than that? They fly someone in to rearrange the shelves? That seems like an awfully terrible waste of money. Why don't they have local personnel who do this?

Granted I don't know anything about how stores and merchandise work, but it seems pretty costly to be flying people all over a region when each store could have a guy who does that.

I'm sure there's a reason, just not sure what I'm missing.
