I'm 54, and I finally found a job I like. I'm a widower and my son went away to college, so I'm on my own for the 1st time in my adult life.

I don't have a college education and hated all of my previous jobs.

This job however let's me live out my dream, to travel every week, I have no residence but stay in decent hotels.

It's called merchandising, easy, and the money is decent.

Does anyone else do this?

So do you set a table up in retail locations and show the product?

Is that where you go around to stores and stock your company's items? I could see where that would appeal to someone who didn't want to be in an office all day.

No, we just go into retail and grocery stores, and reset merchandise on shelves and tag it

I don't travel constantly, but I do travel a good bit...I actually miss staying in a hotel for a day or so when I get home...

I cleared right at $2000 for my last 2 weeks, it may not be much for many of you, but I'll sell curtain rings every week for that kind of money, lol

I live near Lafayette, and I am just south of Dallas now, I head as far as Gulfport east and Dallas west, it's an adventure for me.

Maybe 42 or 44 east hours a week, pretty laid back.

He must have found a job, I havent seen him around..

To the OP.. Congrats man There is nothing worse than working a job you are not happy at and doesn't get much better than having a job you really enjoy. When you can wake up every morning and be motivated about starting your day, that's what life is suppose to be about.
