Bruh, we started the threads like a minute apart. I’m sorry you had to see two threads on the same topic. I hope you will recover before Christmas.

Don't know what happened to my post before this OP put his up.

"Gasoline Unit" which tells me naphtha reformer (including desulfurizer which is a hydrotreater) or alkylation unit. The hydrogen in any hydrotreater would make a big boom.

I’m assuming it was the lack of details in your thread. I didn’t see it until after I had hit submit.

Did Exxon Baytown ever end their lockout of hourly employees? I googled, but didn't seen any news on the situation since October 6th.

Reading through twitter, a few people said there was a boom and it shook their house. Said it sounded like a very loud train connecting cars.

Pure Hydrogen itself won't necessarily make a boom, unless it was a pipe or vessel rupture. A vapor cloud igniting will. A release and expanding vapor cloud will be much heavier than hydrogen. Pure hydrogen tends to lif tup very quickly. Gasoline and other similar vapors don't dissipate as rapidly as pure hydrogen or methane.

It will have minimal impact…there are other refineries on the ship channel that supply more barrels than XOM does to the domestic market.
