Call them what you want, but they are in a tied game with Texas A&M.

were talking about a&m here, no chance we pick a good coach to replace stumblin Sumlin.

Well probably steal Butch Jones from Tennessee or something.

No you bunch of dumbasses they are NOT University of Louisiana. The State of Louisiana already made this clear to that bunch of idiots in Lafayette. They are by LAW UL-Lafayette. They always want to pretend they are bigger than they are. If they are "Louisiana" then so is UL Monroe. Some of you dont realize the only reason they are even UL Lafayette is because UL Monroe agreed to also take up the UL- name. U La La is just attempting to portray itself as THE University of Louisiana at the expense of all other schools in the Louisiana system. They are no more a flagship of the Lousiana System than McNesse is. Hell McNeese could be Louisiana Lake Charles if the wanted but they chose to remain who they are. USL has an infriority complex and a huge case of Penis Envy when itcomes to LSU. frick em.

I'm in for a C note per year to make that happen.

Let me know where to send it.

(Fingers crossed)

I'll never understand fans who want other teams' bad coaches fired

People I work with in Lafayette get mad when you refer to them as "ULL". They correct it as "just UL".

But they're wrong and stupid.

Are you really this insecure about the status of LSU?

There is a New Mexico St and a New Mexico. This is obviously the best example I could come up with..

There is Arkansas & Arkansas St.

There is Florida & Florida St.

Mississippi & Mississippi St.

Colorado & Colorado St

Oregon & Oregon St

Washington & Washington St.

Michigan & Michigan St

Kansas & Kansas St

Oklahoma & Oklahoma St

Alabama & Alabama St

Georgia & Georgia St.

Arizona & Arizona St

Penn & Penn St

You have two Miami's. The one in Ohio doesn't like to be referred to as the University of Miami Ohio, but if they called both Miami.. How are people suppose to know the difference?

And on top of all that La Tech is in their system and by any measurable metric is the superior school. Unless chinstrap beards, affliction tees and New Iberia haircuts are included in university rankings.

ETA: they want to act like they can swing a big dick within the UL system but they are the 3rd best university in it, and that is being very generous.

That's because "Ohio University" is actually the name of the school.

So if UL Monroe is the cupcake for someone are they called 'Louisiana' too? Both are The University of Louisiana at 'xxxx', aren't they?

I'm just glad that as an LSU grad and fan I don't have to waste my time worrying about what people call our school to try to help promote our athletics. They can call themselves The Best Louisiana School Ever for all I care.

This is like the 8th grade team at a high school going around talking shite about the varsity team.
