Elon Musk. Put Youe LIFE Where Your Vision is. Step up.

What kind of guy has all of these visions of the future of humanity on Mars and creates the tech and engines to accomplish it and then takes the pussy route?
I like the guy but I'm kinda dubious, now. He took the highest bidders for a flight around the moon. Two people have been selected. Why not one person and him?
He has preached about the need for need for us to go to Mars. I'm all about it and totally agree. But this launch is one of the most dangerous and will take the first humans further away from Earth than we have ever been before.
Elon. Put one of the spacesuits that you helped to design on your chickenshit arse and get on the elevator to the top of that fricking rocket. If you succeed and come home, the response to your dreams will be epic.
But if you just take the money and run, you lose. Put up or shut up.

Ok. Truth is truth. He's a rich coward who is more than willing to risk other people's lives as long as they pay him a couple hundred million dollars to do it. But he sits on the sidelines risking nothing but his reputation and his visions for the future of humanity.
The most awesome move that he could make is to risk himself. If he wins, he wins all of it. If he loses, he loses his life, he is a man who died for his convictions and the march to colonize Mars takes huge steps forward either way.

I'm sorry, but Elon may not be of the sound mind to take a trip to Mars and back. He may not have the talents either to pilot a spacecraft and relies on others expertise to pull it off.
Plus he has considerable talents that can be used here on Earth. And it will be absolute hell on his body. Very few people are mentally qualified to go to Mars.

Well I'm pretty sure that several other innovators didn't feel that way. Look at the several geniuses who actually risked everything to advance science, medicine, and research.
