I'm late to this thread, but I don't think Brad Renfro's been mentioned. He was being raised by a grandparent when he was "discovered" by a casting agent of Joel Schumacher's. With no professional roles to his credit at the time, he was awarded the lead in Schumacher's "The Client." A few years later, he was a co-lead in "Apt Pupil," a Bryan Singer film.

As early as age 15, Renfro was busted using hard drugs like cocaine. To my knowledge he never did time, despite numerous violations of probation. He died of a heroin overdose in his mid-20's.

If you look closely, you can find minimal degrees of separation between the following Hollywood heavy hitters: Joel Schumacher, Kevin Spacey, Bryan Singer, and Ian McKellan.

There's a guy on one of my other forums that was a writer on Nick's "Sam and Cat" that said it was getting out of control how much those producers wanted to sex-up the show, like seriously the conversations were disturbing kind of stuff.
