I'm assuming that if Hollywood is the bastion of pedophilia everyone is saying it is, it makes sense that when they ask all these celebs if they'd ever let their kid in the business, they all say hell no.

I understand your point, but I feel the need to clarify the fact that pedophilia is not specifically homosexual in behavior or related exclusively to prepubescent males. There are a number of pedophiles who are attracted to and prey on prepubescent females.

My daughter is a child actress. Her agent is based in L.A. (Burbank, actually). But she doesn't work out there very much. Most of the actual work is in Canada, and scattered across the US.
Most of the true weirdos that I've run across are the producers and the show runners. And they're rarely on set. And I would never allow my daughter to be anywhere near them, unless I was about 2 feet away at all times.
The actual set crew that you deal with every day, they're professional and top notch.
