see my earlier response. You have to put up with a few things to get the best benefit of owning a dog

Not near as gross as most humans. You shake peoples hands? Any idea how disgusting human hands are? You know that person just touched their phone, which they were handling last time they were on the throne. Human shite is far and away nastier and dirtier than dog shite. Do you let people walk in your house with their shoes on? Any idea how many puddles of human piss they've stepped in? Every public restroom in an office/restaurant/retail space has piss all over it. Most people don't wash their hands either. Don't get me started on how often throughout the day dudes touch their junk, or women adjust thongs/panties/etc. Don't get me started on kids. A toddler is the most dirty, vile, disgusting creature on the planet. I would let a dog lick my face before a 2 year old touches it with his hand.

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to agree with just about everything you posted here. I have certain rules of thumb I follow, and one of those is this: I never, ever touch somebody else's cell phone, nor do I allow them to touch mine.

Relative to a dog, humans are by far and away the grosser species. Think about a dog's mouth. If you went 13 years without brushing your teeth, you'd have no teeth. A dog? They can do that in spades. Their mouths are cleaner than ours, by far.

So I guess Obama, bush, Clinton, bush, Reagan, Carter, ford and Nixon were all super trashy. Honestly, who has never had a dog?

While some of the members of that list may not be good individuals, is doesn't make them trashy. A trashy person is dirty, wears trashy clothes, talks with broken English. None of the people listed fit that criteria. I would have mentioned more presidents if I was sure they had a dog or not. My point is that the majority of people have had a dog at some point in their lives and social status has nothing to do with that decision.

I have a standard poodle and she's just about never barked a day in her life. I remember the first time we ever heard her bark it was so shocking and sounded so wild.. almost like a rooster.. but that was a one time thing. She's also the sweetest dog. I don't care for aggressive dogs personally and it seems like the ones I know with them have been trashy.. but it doesn't speak to all of them.

I wouldn't say all dog owners are trashy at all.. I think animal lovers in general seem to be compassionate and caring people.

It's terrifying how big and strong some dogs are

This is why pits are dangerous. Not because they're any more inclined to violence, but because when they do get violent, they have incredibly strong jaws and so are much more likely to cause severe mutilation or death.
