If Uber were smart, they'd sponsor the checkpoints, then put in surge pricing.

I never got hammered then behind a wheel or anything but I use to take the weirdest routes home in college just in case to avoid these.

LSU around the lakes, then go by St. Joseph's in that neighborhood, spit out near CHS, take Claycut to Jefferson then Jefferson to my final destination.

Prepare for downvotes. This board loves drunk driving.

It's totally not their fault that their vehicle may get towed if the leave it! They HAVE to drive home!

It's totally not their fault that they can't get a taxi or uber or it's just too darn expensive! They HAVE to drive home!

It's the ONLY option!

I have lost 3 family members to drinking and driving. 2 were drunk and killed themselves. Another was killed by an impaired driver.

You cannot defend driving while drunk. It's idiotic and 100% avoidable

There's a good chance that'll end up with you in jail. Joke's on the cops!

I had a buddy who did this trying to be funny. He spent the night in jail and got convicted of a DWI cause he was drunk at the time. They don't play around.

I said sober. If he was drunk and did it as a joke, that's really dumb. And yeah, I would never do it.

Well yeah, he did the same thing you were describing, he was just gonna ACT drunk in front of the cops to mess with them. He recorded it on his phone and it was actually pretty funny, until they breathalyzed him and arrested him. If you're gonna pull this prank, then DON'T blow in the breathalyzer.

If he was just acting drunk, then he should have blown a .000 on the breathalyzer. Are you saying he failed the breathalyzer? Or he blew a .000 and they got pissed off and arrested him?

Not necessarily.

This is exactly why people who do this prank SHOULDN'T do the breathalyzer.

Oh they were pissed, cops hate it when someone messes with them like that, especially if they've been drinking. They don't have patience for that kind of thing, it seems like they'd be better trained for that of situation.
