Well, I will say this. My niece and nephews in daycare listen very well, are respectful, and play great with other kids. My niece and nephew who stay home with mom are the spawns of satan

I think that's a good idea at 2 but a 6 month old isn't getting anything out of daycare

Not sure as my son was older than 6 months, but I would say it helps to not be "clingy" to the parents at least somewhat. My son still cries some days when he's dropped off, and the smile on his face when you pick him up is awesome. But some days he's fighting to go play and doesn't want to leave.

In regards to the other posterst response about not paying to have your kids interact, these parents are paying. They have a playgroup my wife was a part of, but they pay to send their kids to a "school" for toddlers.

So you eat canned beans and raman and live in the ghetto where you maybe murdered? Living on 50k combined aint fun

Simple meats and vegetables are cheap compared to going out to eat/microwaveable processed foods that are quick and easy because you don't have time to cook dinner anymore with you and your wife's busy schedules.

Plenty of moderate homes in moderate areas that are affordable, but not homes that your friends will be envious

I thought you started this thread for some good discussion on the pros/cons of having a dual income. I didn't realize you intended for it to be a chance for you to tout your superior parenting schools and preach to anyone who sends their kids to daycare/normal school. I'll hop back in whenever you decide you want to talk about what you addressed in the OP.

so why do common folk have such things? Greed/want over necessity. This "mentality" manifests itself in the dual income "mo money, mo money" parent/child relationship

Because idiocy knows no tax bracket. There are families that make $50k/year and are happy as larks for what they have. And there are athletes that make 100x that and end up without a pot to piss in.

Living on a combined income of 50k would not be easy. Im sorry. It is a damn lie that someone who makes 150k chooses to do so

You are an arrogant frick aren't you. I bought my house, vehicle, etc. All while my wife wasn't working. We don't need her salary at all. We do not see any benefit in our son's well being that it is a negative to go to daycare. Being home would only provide additional isolation, a learning environment where he is only used to taking direction from his parents, and an over attachment to my wife. I went to daycare as a majority of people have. I'm very close with my family and have been very successful in school and life. Staying at home isn't terrible, but people who think they are the absolute best for their child in every facet of their life are obtuse.

No shite, my wife and I both work and we cook dinner most nights. And even find time to prepare breakfast/lunches for ourselves for the next day.

But... this is a Kujo thread, so it's really all about him acting superior about his life choices.

That picture is freaking classic. So what should me and my wife make considering we work and do all that shite too in the span of 1 hour a day? 1 billion since we are a million times more efficient?

We just go on more vacations. And buy more Christmas presents. and aren't scared when the ac goes out or we have to replace something expensive.

But I did stay with the kids when they were little. Now I'm on school hours and it's perfect.
