Harrison said the victim, who died at a local hospital, was training another Domino's employee, who was in a vehicle when the victim was shot. That employee was not injured.

hopefully this guy can provide some good information and i doubt he becomes a dominos driver now

you could shoot a would be robber, kill him and get your life ruined by the black pastors and media for being a racist involved in an 'unjustified' shooting. You would be the new poster boy for the next BLM rally and have to move you and your entire family to a new city if you're lucky and the DA doesn't crumble under the political pressure to press charges and a jury of your peers doesn't convict you of murder1. There is that

Still seems like a better choice than being murdered.

The man could not have had any more than $50 on him! So, killing pizza guys is a right of passage as a gang member? A successful drive by gives one street cred?
So senseless but so much about street life is senseless.

Heard the motive doesn't appear to be robbery. Are they assuming it was gang initiation type crime or something personal against the victim?

Every time I go to new orleans I feel like I am taking a risk with my life. It's pathetic.

How do you change a culture of violence? Where does it start?

There's a lot of rumors this morning in my office due to the fact that we specifically evaluate troubled teens. There is a new-ish group home right down the street from where this happened. The neighbors are now coming forward saying it has been a living nightmare having them in the neighborhood. So many older people live over there and are saying they're constantly threatened when they go outside just to put the trash out. We can thank Mitch and these shitty local reps for allowing this shite to happen in an old established quiet neighborhood.

Parenting but it is near impossible to break the cycle. A lot of these people have been brainwashed to believe they are where they are because of other people. They are given little to no tools to help them succeed in life. I'm not talking about becoming a doctor or anything. I mean being able to read and write and pass elementary level courses at 18yrs old. I constantly see 16 & 17 year olds that can't get out of 8th grade and end up dropping out at 18.

Goddammit that kind of self dealing pisses me off. That's such a typical entitled politician move.

Rick Scott tried that bullshite in FL when he was first elected trying to push through mandatory drug testing for welfare recipients. Great idea on paper, problem is he owns the drug testing company that was going to get the state contract. He tried to get around it by selling the company to his wife for $1. Some of these politicians, man. Frick

I haven't seen anyone saying this would never happen in BR...

But way to try and deflect things off of how bad it's gotten in NOLA! As long as something bad happens somewhere else it justifies everything that goes wrong in your city!

oh I think they get SOME tools...public education, school meals, welfare, healthcare, etc. I know its not the best, but to say they are given little to no tools is BS. Plenty of people make it out of poverty (Gen.Colin Powell among others) and live lawful, successful, useful lives. Failure is on the parents and individuals.

I'm not going to argue the welfare aspect but public education might as well not exist in New Orleans. The system is beyond broken

That's the proper attitude that a city so reliant on tourism should have!
