You're such a want to be elitist constantly putting everyone and everything else down like you're some greek god above everything.
The reality is that you are a very insecure person that has to make himself believe he is better by trying to find reasons why others aren't as good as you. It has to be a struggle every day to size yourself up against others only to feel you fall short. That's why you have to put on a persona of arrogance to mask what's really going on. Have fun in your shallow, meaningless existence dealing with all those insecurities each day.

To be fair, just about anywhere is better than Midland.
To be fair. Midland was a great town to grow up in.. No crime, Just hard workingclass people... But when I went Back the peoples were just unfriendly. I realized then that as nice as it was....People and attitude means everything............

I thought the nicest people in the world were in the South.
Then I moved to Montana and grew up here from the age of 12.
These "damn rude Yankees" really know how to treat people right.

Midland is one of those places that's nice enough, but the majority of worthwhile people leave and don't come back. I understand what you're saying.
If you grew up a few hours north (and west) you would probably feel differently.

I've found that most lean more towards racism than it being a southern pride issue.
I'm more wondering where people are getting the whole "we were founded as Christian nation!" from though.

The whole Northern people are assholes cliché is more about the Northeast than anything.

About the same as my American pride while is just above zero

Absolutely. Some of the nicest people I've ever met were from Minnesota, North Dakota and Alberta.

Right into your mom's basement. It's not like you went out on your own, so quit acting like you made some major life move.
If your mom had moved to Mississippi, you'd be living there.

I've had Southern Pride and it wasn't too bad.

Are you excited that we're about to be neighbors?

Dude, you moved from Shreveport to Dallas. That's as lateral of a move as one can make.

I've met some very nice people from all over the country where you wouldn't expect it based on traditional stereotypes.
That said, I do have pride in the "Southern Gentleman" stereotype. And I know this might shock you coming from me, but I have gotten many compliments from little old ladies and bar sluts alike in northern/nw/west coast states about how respectful and courteous we are to women.
Then I lay on the twang to get the poontang.

If I was from North Louisiana, I would have probably left permanently by now.

They don't call Shreveport Lil Dallas for nothing since gambling became king there.

Which nation would that be? Because Yankeedom and the South are really two to five different nations.
