Do you tip when you order "carside to go" from a restaurant?

You know... where you order online and drive to the restaurant and park and they bring your food out to you.

There is a spot to put down a tip. What is it I'm tipping for?

I tip just a few bucks but I don't know why or what the proper etiquette is.

Why do we have so many tipping threads on here?
We always end up with the same pissing matches and generally the mouth breathers are exposed

If they bring it to me? I tip.

If I have to go in and pay at the bar or front? I tip. Just tip less.

I tip 10-15% less than a normal server...I worked in the service industry in college...the curbside server makes more per hour than the normal server...typically minimum wage.

Agreed. Why do those mouth breathers tip so much?

I usually don't. Tip is for service. No service was provided.

But really this

A lot of them.

I ordered from Carrabba's last night and tipped a few bucks, but thought "what am I tipping for?"

I know other restaurants do it too like Chili's and Applebee's.

If they bring it out on time....yes.

I tip normal amount.

They do less, but they're busy and they use packaging and the like.

Walking the order out to your car isn't a service?
