Just put in a spa, love it (not the pre-fab shite, a custom built in-ground). Like a small pool.

Yes, an in ground one and would not do it again. Kids used it a lot when kids, but we seldom use it anymore., maybe 8-10 times throughout the summer. Too much wasted $$ and time on upkeep.
I would consider an above ground one just so the kids can have something, but would get rid of that when they out grow it.

Yes, but we purchased the house with it. Let someone else spend the $50k and the headache.
We love the pool

Yes and its no hassle at all. Had one with a hot tub put in 2 years ago. Im in the hot tub now watching the LSU game. Pay to have it serviced once a week, around $150 per month.

I have two, the one at our primary residence was used once or twice this entire year. The one at the beach house is used every single day we are there. The other pool is basically yard art.

Yes

If so, is it worth the Hassle?

I have a company that I use weekly to take care of it for me (due to my travel schedule).

Kids like it, so it is worth it for us.

This is ours:

We have an above ground. Have had it for 16 years now. Been less work than I expected to take care of. Have replaced liner 3 times, and motor twice.

Not bad really. Been worth it for us.

Yes and yes. Kids used it a lot. Now I use it everyday. I can't live in this heat without it.

Yes
Good for the kids
Now retired and part of daily routine in summer

Get up ride bike drink coffee while relaxing in pool

Great for grandkids
But if possible buy a house with one already in
Depreciation is significant

It is if u have either young kids or grandkids. That’s why we have one. That’s the only reason. Kids could all swim by the time that they were five. All of the grandkids have learned before they were three.

Other than that ...it’s a hole in the ground that u throw money into.
