Current employer provides coffee but I have had an employer that charged us $5 per paycheck to be in the "coffee club"

Some people didn't join but still drank the coffee so they eventually just paid for it.

NO, don't call Bernie!!!

He's just going to levy a 90% tax on the value of free coffee that the rest of us get!!

Just a different method. We have a Chemex for it. We don't use it near as often as the French Press.

What's this?

go to starbucks & ask

its the same price as their regular coffee, only they will make a single-serving for you..and bonus is that you can ask for *ANY* coffee they carry..not just the 'flavor of the week' they are serving.

eta its delicious but may piss them off if there's a long line since it takes one of the workers out of commission to grind the beans & make your special one-off.

eta2 also always ask for a 'tall in a grande cup' (yep, there's even a setting for that on the cash register) so you pay for a tall and you can top it off with cream without having to pour out some into the trash if its too full and often they end up filling it up anyway..so you get a grande for the price of a tall

No, but I can tell you that Coke employees don't get free drinks. (I'm not a Coke employee thankfully)

I worked at Coke in college, and while the company did not give us free drinks. That does not mean we all didn't have tons of free drinks...............

Absolutely not. Free Community dark roast is the absolute lifeblood of the company I work for. There are 3 break rooms with coffee machines like these in just the building I work at (at we have them at 3 or 4 other locations as well):

And from 7AM-10AM there's a new pot every half hour or so.. then again from 2pm-4pm

I think if they charged us for coffee, nobody would get any work done

one day we're going to run into each other by accident and its going to be awkward as hell if our SOs are with us and ask how we know each other.

My place offers free coffee. Not the cheap stuff either....plus a grinder that let's us grind the beans right before it's brewed.

maybe if you did you wouldn't move at half-speed and the DMV line wouldn't stretch out into the parking lot.
