Just pee when you get ready to go to bed. Then as you're about to fall asleep get up and pee again.

I drink a lot of water, used to get up and piss around 2:30 every night. Started taking melatonin before I go to bed, now I sleep through the night no problem

Never. I rarely even wake up before my alarm goes off once I've fallen asleep, let alone wake up to take a piss. However, when I do, I definitely #sit2pee.

I'm 30 and it happens sometimes. I mainly get up to pee after my 7 month old daughter wakes up for the 50th time.

Perfectly normal at this age. Hate to break it to you but the night time pisses are only going to get more frequent, more painful and more bloody.

It should level off by your early forties though.

Every single night, and I have for years. I also drink a lot of water so that has a lot to do with it

what you are describing is very common and starts to creep up on all of us as we pass the mid thirties...

I find that I always get up at least once...if I drink a couple of glasses of fluid after about 8PM, I will usually have to get up 2 or 3 times, though.

I don't have to get up an hour later to piss, so it is probably time for you to go and get the finger wave just to be on the safe side.

one thing that I did figure out is that if I get up to piss as soon as I feel it, I get a lot better night's sleep...I used to roll around needing to piss for an hour before getting up and wasn't sleeping well at all because of it.

I'm a few years younger than that and I get up to piss occasionally. Sometimes once or twice if I forget to go before bed.

I have kidney stone issues though. Usually get on once a year. I drink a lot of water and fluids because of it.

I've been peeping 2-3 times a night since I was in my early 20s. I've also been a heavy drinker since my early 20s.

I get up at least once a night. And before I fall asleep, there's a nagging feeling in my bladder, like it's a third full but I know I won't go to sleep until I empty it, so I have to get up. (I'm 30, by the way). I bring it upon myself, though. I drink water all day long, and it's not uncommon for me to down at least 8-12 oz of water right before bed. I had a kidney stone when I was 23 and I've been a water junkie ever since.

Yep.

Never ever woke up in the night, and suddenly I do it every night. Started about 2 years ago.

I'm only 24. (25 in 4 days )

ETA: I drink beer until I go to bed, and I'm certain that contributes.

You've only given us your nighttime urination habits. What about the rest of the day?

Diabetes is a legit health concern and needs to be investigated. If you have diabetes, you need to pee all night, and also all day. And you are always thirsty.

So bring all of this to your doctor. He/she will be thoroughly versed in the other 20-30 other possible diagnoses that the rest of us here aren't familiar with.

Post a follow up please.

Depends.

If I've been drinking a lot I'll get up once to piss. So every night at the camp, I get up once.

At home I never have to get up to piss.

I had a weird condition called urethral spasm syndrome where it felt like I was sitting on a golf ball. My muscle that controls the bladder is very weak and has spasms. That made me want to piss all the time. I would feel like I had to so bad and only a little would come out. It's not as bad now but I think I still suffer from it.

Is this what you used Flomax for?

Have you tried Ditropan (generic is Oxybutynin)? Only side effect I know that bothers me is a dry mouth.
