Especially the garden homes near the clubhouse

The garden home lots in Money Hill(which aren't what we are looking at BTW) are 120'x70' which are actually bigger than the garden home lots in TCC. Basically we can get a lot for 40% cheaper at Money Hill that is 4 times the size of the lot we have in TCC. Just thought it was worth a consideration. We have determined the lot we have is too small (112'x68')

Surprised all the roads weren't named things like "frick You Peasants Blvd" and "Trophy Wife Rd."
Is that corner lot available?

It was a hunting club named Money Hill for years before the subdivision.

Artigues (the grocery store in Abita) is a great small town store.

They sell Envie and they have the best chicken salad around.

Those were nice but a little out of the price range. Plus not on the golf course. Not sure any of them were sold yet.

I live just before money hill. It definitely doesn't take 30 minutes to Abita. It takes 6 minutes from the time I get to the highway. It takes 15-20 to get to the interstate as long as it's not between the hours of 8-9am. It takes 30 minutes to get to the causeway. It's not bad at all to get to the walmart area of Covington if you take Harrison/Dog Pound rd. Rouses at Claiborne hill is about the same distance. 15 minutes to get to a big grocery is a perfectly fine trade off for me being able to have some land and peace and quiet. JMO. The only thing that's bad as far as commuting is we're members at Franco's and that drive is getting old.

Great info! Again 15-30 minutes in a big city is really nothing, seems like a great value for piece and quiet and golf..... Yea Francos is too far. There are Anytime Fitness type clubs everywhere, check into those.

THE TREASURE OF MONEY HILL
Money Hill acquired its name in the late 1800s. Legend has it that swashbuckling Barataria pirates and smugglers, perhaps even the notorious Jean Lafitte, buried some of their stolen loot at Money Hill. The allure of these local tales was so strong that treasure hunters explored the grounds looking for buried treasure well into the 1930s.

According to their website, there is still a hunting club offsite somewhere.
