I'm a few months drug free and it's not getting any easier

Eta: it's not a daily hankering, they're only on occasion

Heading to Onekama, MI tomorrow. Looking forward to that cold Lake Michigan water!

Yes. A LOT quicker and more completely than the urge to smoke tobacco.
Marijuana is not physically addicting AT ALL. Mentally yes - physically not at all.

I smoked weed in college because I was bored.

As soon as I graduated and got out into the world, I never had an urge to do it again.

If you're sitting around thinking about getting high, as opposed to thinking about how to get ahead in life, then you've got a drug problem.

I smoked habitually for seven years. Quit a year ago and I don't even miss it.

I smoked daily from age 18 to 36.

The urge went away in a few months. Three years later and I rarely even think about getting high. If I do get the urge, I'm usually at a concert and catch good wiff of some tasty nuggs.

I quit smoking for a couple of years. Then did it again. It was cool at first then I pigged out at Waffle House and went to sleep. I don't miss it that much.

That was in 99. Don't give two shits about it now.

And anything that releases dopamine can be addictive.

Any drug, alchohol, marijuana, whatever alter the sleep cycle, if you use the drug with regularity. So depending on how long, how much, strength, tolerance, and a few other things, it could take awhile for YOUR natural sleep cycle to establish itself to its original rhythm. During this time of reestablishment you will not be sleeping as well, therefore you will not feel as well, you may feel edgy, suspicious, become easily angered, depressed and the urge to relapse will be stronger.

could take 6 months or a year for the Sleep Cycle to stabilize to YOUR natural rhythm. Sleep Cycle disturbance is the number 1 reason for relapse in all drug addictions, though it is rarely understood.
