I have Been watching a lot of black sails lately.

The criminals in BS seem to parallel those in Sons of Anarchy.

Sons of anarchy is a tv show.

Real biker gangs are just a bunch of old white guys have jobs, drink beer at twin peaks, and avoid their families on the weekends like the rest of us

By living an "alternative lifestyle" with, in general, many men?

I'd be more intimidated by a middle aged Johnny Depp dressed as a pirate than by a middle aged mechanic dressed up as a biker.

Grew up around the bandidos in the 80s. One of my earliest memories are of a bon fire in the woods, wild hogs being shot, hung up and cleaned.

Also being told differences between Harley and Indian bikes. And wondering why they needed that much beer, and why everyone rolled and shared their own cigarettes.

You do realize these are TV Dramas. They take everyday things and dramatize them to make them more interesting to watch. For example, do you watch any of the CSI shows and think being a lab tech for some police department means going out on one hour long adventures every week?

I can't speak to the over dramatization of 18th century piracy. But I can tell you with 100% certainty what you've seen on Sons of Anarchy is NOTHING like being a member of a three price patch motorcycle club.

that's like saying the sopranos is nothing like being in la cosa nostra, or the wire isn't like being an urban street dealer... not entirely true

Have you ever been a member of the mob?

Have you ever been a member of an MC?

Have you ever been an urban street dealer?

If not, then all you know is based on what you see on TV or hear from others.
