I may or may not know a few right now. There are a few bad eggs, but most just like the community, relationships they share with the other members. A lot of them served in Vietnam, gulf war etc. got into motorcycles when stationed in Germany or some place.
Do they protect local businesses for a small fee. Maybe. From what I haven't figured out, certainly not any state/government official as far as I can tell.

But I can tell you with 100% certainty what you've seen on Sons of Anarchy is NOTHING like being a member of a three price patch motorcycle club
Even in the 60s?

If there was a thread on crystal meth or heroine I'd expect you to be on page one.
Point I'm making here is we all post about those things we know and are familiar with. I'm not in th pot threads because I've not smoked pot since you were still shitting your diapers.
This is a biker thread, I'm a biker. The fact I'm posting here is not exactly news.

Are you a 3 piece patch wearing biker?
I wore a three piece patch from 1994 until 2016 when I retired to become invloved in B.A.C.A.

Not sure what the baca is to be honest but bikers in central Texas do great work around Christmas time giving gifts to children, fundraising. For all the bad rep they do a lot of good in the community for the youth

B.A.C.A. (Bikers Against Child Abuse) Is a 501c3 organization of Bikers who have banded together to help abused children. Here is our mission statement....
How much do I beleive in this? Well I hung up a patch I'd wore for over 20 years to join.
quote:
Bikers Against Child Abuse, Inc. (B.A.C.A.) exists with the intent to create a safer environment for abused children. We exist as a body of Bikers to empower children to not feel afraid of the world in which they live. We stand ready to lend support to our wounded friends by involving them with an established, united organization. We work in conjunction with local and state officials who are already in place to protect children. We desire to send a clear message to all involved with the abused child that this child is part of our organization, and that we are prepared to lend our physical and emotional support to them by affiliation, and our physical presence. We stand at the ready to shield these children from further abuse. We do not condone the use of violence or physical force in any manner, however, if circumstances arise such that we are the only obstacle preventing a child from further abuse, we stand ready to be that obstacle

Have you seen Gangland Undercover on History Channel...and if so, how realistic of a depiction is that?

Thanks. I actually got out for the first time just this past Saturday. Only went for about an hour to see how I did. Going to take a while but I'm hoping to be up and ready for our 100 mile ride in May. That's a pretty big fund raiser for us.

How many bikers took turns with your wife while you were in the hospital?

I saw the one where the FBI rat infiltrated the Vagos. As forcbeing realistic, I'd say not very.
Here's the thing about Bikers. We're known as outlaws but that doesn't mean we're criminals, not all of us at any rate. There are plenty of Bikers involved in drugs, guns, prostitution, you name it. But you could say the same thing about cops. Does that mean all cops are bad? No. It means there are cops who are criminals and cops who are not. The same is true for us.

Real life pirates were pretty fricked up. Here's and account from a captured ship:
quote:
The victorious pirates subjected their captives to an orgy of horror that lasted several days, raping and killing their terrified prisoners deck by deck. The pirates reportedly utilized torture to extract information from their prisoners, who had hidden the treasure in the ship's holds. Some of the Muslim women apparently committed suicide to avoid violation, while those women who did not kill themselves or die from the pirates' brutality were taken aboard the Fancy.

Do you include the 1% bikers in that assessment?

I think it's more they have the technical skills to fix a/c, electric thing, plumbing than anything. The old school mob story is a fabrication
