I'm arriving this Thursday and going to the Christmas party that night. Any recommendations for the Christmas party? We will be staying at the Pop century. Bringing my soon to be 3 year old girl and my 6 year old son. All of our first time going.

We are going to the Christmas party Friday night. We've been once before and had a great time. My advice would be catch the 2nd parade. find a spot in Frontierland, less crowded than Main St. Also if you want to see any of the special characters line up early. The 7 dwarfs usaully have a long line, they'll be set up over by Splash Mountain. Jack Skellington is making his 1st Christmas Party appearance this year dressed as Sandy Claws, I'm sure his line is huge, he'll be over in Storybook Circus. That's the one my kids are looking forward to most.

No problem. One of the best things about it is the attraction wait times. You should be able to ride most things with hardly any wait. 7D's Mine train may still be pretty long, but even it will be down to around 30 minutes later in the night and it's a better ride a night.

I'm sure it's 1 Hour+. Best bet would be to get there early before 7:00. You can get into Magic Kingdom at 4:00 with a Party ticket without having to use a day of admission.

Make sure you still use your time wisely during the Christmas party. Starting this Thursday the Christmas party is one of the biggest selling separate ticket events that Disney has. It's something that the locals will come do for just a day or two so that adds to the crowd. It will still be packed. Also remember that there are no fastpasses during the party. Everything is standby. We were there for the Halloween party at the beginning of October and it was crazy. Nothing got under 15 minutes the entire time and the bigger rides like Splash, Thunder Mt, Space Mt, Haunted Mansion, etc, stayed upwards of 30 minutes the entire party so I suggest you plan accordingly.

They shut Magic Kingdom down to the general public and only allow people with party tickets in. They have stations with hot chocolate and cookies and all of the characters are out in various spots for the kids. They have a special Frozen fireworks show now too. We did it a few years ago and it was a good time. We pretty much walked on most rides but that was at the beginning of November. It get much more crowded now.

How much time would you say you'd have to spend at the party to make it worth it? At $75/person would you need to be there by, say, 7pm local time? (I think it ends at midnight)
