This is a huge issue but no one seems to want to discuss it. Very interesting article

if we are ever to focus on children who, for no fault of their own, are often raised in environments where a stable father is missing, violence is predictable, education is eschewed, drugs are prevalent and dependency threatens freedom; we must stand up and speak facts before another generation of children are lost.

I think that if you brought this up in an actual setting and pointed out real problems, you would be seen as racist. The thought of a white person trying tell black folks that they are doing something wrong makes you the most racist person on earth regardless of facts or truth

The younger AA community is so far gone in rap music, hoes, weed, tattoos, fancy rims, bling-bling, grills, etc that they are too far gone to ever have a strong family structure.

It's sad. Bill Cosby even got slammed for it. If Bill Cosby can't even do it, who can?

It's not black people it's poor people. I wish people realized that it has nothing to do with race and everything to do with poverty.

This is a societal problem. Statistics show kids from single parent households don't do as well. Doesn't matter the race.

It very much has to do with race

Well regardless of race, when the system is set up to show that more kids you have, the bigger the pay check you get. That really doesn't help the situation

But it isn't just poverty. Poverty is certainly one of the major issues within the larger cultural problem, but saying it is poverty doesn't tell the entire story.

It also isn't race, as race itself doesn't do anything, IMO. It's a culture that is largely uniform within black America, especially within poor black America. I've personally seen affluent black areas, which are pretty rare in the US, go south quickly due to cultural decline. Unfortunately, it prevents black families who do everything right from seeing the benefits of their efforts too often.

To their credit, the black community tends to be united in a way that white people are not. But, this lends itself to a reluctance to purge the negative parts of "black culture" (however you want to define that), as to not break with the community. These are issues white people can't cure, but at the same time, it is dumb to entirely discount the opinions of other races on this subject.

Byproducts of the war on drugs and the war on poverty. Both are failures.

If the KKK had set out to destroy the nuclear family as a viable component of the black community in 1960, it couldn't have done a more effective job than 50+ years of white guilt liberalism and the Democratic Party.
