My folks are moving there. Rest of my brothers and sisters are in P-Ville. They are building in Parker place. Big transition being in such close quarters with neighbors and downsizing, but they are happy with builder and overall community

Whoever built that big arse neighborhood between bishop woods and that meth lab trailerpark should burn in Hell. I've known a few people who unwittingly attempted living in that place only to get burglarized on the regular. Could've warned them ahead of time heeeeellll no!

serious question: p-ville is really that screwed up of a place to live? sure it isn't all growing pains? hell, when south BR in the early 90's was blowing up it was something of a mess as well. now its just one big traffic jamb.

Traffic can be a pain during rush hour.
We need an I-10 on ramp at Bluff Road.
The state should buy that small piece of land behind the church at Bluff and Perkins.

lol...ummm, no. I live in Oaks on the Bluff and I don't hear the interstate from my home or my backyard or my front yard. There is an area in Oaks on the Bluff that backs up onto I-10...I would never live there. But the rest of the neighborhood does not feel or sound like you are close to the interstate.

Always thought instead of making just a turning lane on 73, they shoulda made it 4 lanes from airline to at least 74

I just moved to Prairieville from living in Shenandoah. I don't find driving out there any worse than trying to get around South East Baton Rouge.

True. It's the upper middle class.

This is the absolute truth. Would do absolute wonders for the traffic situation. Would not be too difficult to put an on ramp towards BR and an off ramp onto Bluff from BR. Why is that not being planned already??!

Yeah, Pecue is set up and may even be designed. Just waiting on construction money.

If you don't intend to use AP schools then I recommend finding a home in BR maybe in hood off south highland or old Perkins. I've lived in Pville 4 years. Luckily we don't live very far in. Next move will be southern most Baton Rouge. Something Still off the highland Perkins exit. I love Pville but it can be a mess traffic wise. It drives me nuts. But I would never go back to living close to LSU. I prefer the highland-Perkins ish area far above anywhere else in BR.

Are they mutually exclusive? One is BR...one is Ascension. Who funds it? The parish? If so, put it on the ballot immediately and it will pass with flying colors.

I'll take my chances with trailer trash over little Baghdad ghettos anywhere in vacinities of many nice areas near LSU, capital heights and garden district.

There's plenty of land for an on ramp behind that church. There's at least 1000' to make that ramp.

There's not enough room on that side. They just built those 10 houses backing up to I-10.
