You're joking, right? Israel is too dangerous, but Egypt is okay? GTFOH.

***I wonder if people know that Israel and the West Bank/Gaza are separated by a huge arse wall. Being in Israel does not equal being in the West Bank/Gaza.

Maybe so, but he doesn't seem like the stereotypical OT attention whore to me. I'm not going back and reviewing the guy's post history, but IIRC, his comments about Iwo Jima and Okinawa never seemed like self-aggrandizement. I remember them being more focused on remembering the men who died and the sights and sounds of an amphibious invasion. If he was going to lie, why not go full TigerDave?

Yeah, bro. You go right ahead to Egypt.

Why do people ITT think Israel is so dangerous? I find it really bizarre.

DAUGHTER + Egypt?

No thanks.

I just cannot wrap my head around Middle East missionary work. Some of the groups that send folks there need to be called on the carpet.

I wish the OPs daughter health and safety.

I read the OP and the details sounded familiar so I looked at the OP's post history. The link to his blog confirmed it was who I thought. He really is 89 years old and has a 25 year old daughter. OP is legit. Mr. Roy

Don't laugh. She might be the one to convert all the Jews to Christianity. She might be the messiah they've awaited for 3,000 years.

You do realize he probably adopted this young lady or perhaps raised a grand child? This man served in WWII. Show some respect. He's not a phony, certainly not as much as some of those posting here.

I never understood why people feel the need to go on international missions

This!!! I've personally known some that did this with their family, and came close to not getting home safely. Some churches encourage this and now, I hear they are going back !

If she converts 3, I imagine she and her organization will consider it a success. But, be sure to keep shitting on it for no apparent reason.

Add to the fact that most Jewish people think evangelizing is a sign of mental illness, it just shows you this is an arrogant woman who wants a vacation to the middle east.

she won't convert three Jews in Israel. She'd be better off volunteering at a children's hospital or something useful.
