Me too, since 1984. Totally agree. It is hard to admit my home State and city are both pits, but reality is, they are. Even with plenty of good people, fond memories, and all dat great food.

The biggest issue with Houston is that it's just ugly and sprawling. Strip center after strip center.
Don't all cities have strip malls? What's the alternative?

We sold ours in 6 days.

Had 16 people come by the first two days

I had a rental property in Haltom that sold in less than 24 hours and had 18 showings. Crazy!

When we moved from Coppell to Grapevine, we bid 4 different houses. All sold in less than 24 hours. One went for $20K above asking. That sucked...we really wanted that property and we had gone $10K over asking. Almost a full acre in Grapevine with a resort style backyard. Wife was devastated. The whole house shopping adventure was crazy. Open houses would have 30 cars out in front.
