LOL but then they have to live in fricking Texas amongst Texans
There are people from all over in Texas. Houston is the most diverse city in the United States with people here from all over the world and people from all over the U.S.

There are a ton of people from Louisiana here.

Boeing is the HQ of a new division, but Toyota is their North American HQ. The complex is massive.

I have been away since 1986, have lived in 6 different States, 21 years in Florida. When you live away you realize how far behind the rest of he Country La., is

La., has good people and great food, the rest is shite. The biggest problem is stupid people voting for stupid politicians.

Cost of living and lack of jobs. There is nothing special about Texas in terms of lifestyle except the economic strengths.

I live in Houston and every other couple on our street is from another state. We always talk about how we I don't really love Houston, but it's the best place in America to make money.

It's not terrible. There are a lot of fun things to do and I think the food is incredible. I grew up in Louisiana but the food might be better here now than it is back home.

There's a good night life and the education while not great is certainly better than it is in most other places in the south.

The biggest issue with Houston is that it's just ugly and sprawling. Strip center after strip center. Tons of concrete. Highways that go on forever and a shite load of traffic. I live inside the city so I don't have to deal with a ton of that but it's still not the prettiest place in the world and it's hot as frick.

It's definitely hot in Houston, but can't that be said for most of the state of Texas, if not all of it?

If we compare homebuilding in each metro relative to their historic average, Austin, Charleston, and Nashville are on track to build 107.7%, 72.8%, and 65.8% more in 2017 than their local historical average, the most of the largest 100 metros.

I'm in Franklin, TN, and work for custom builder. We have 5 going currently, we are anticipating building 15-20 next year. Our least expensive was around 300k and most expensive was just under 2M. Avg probably around 1.1M.

Its absolutely insane.

I'm visiting Dallas right now and it looks like they are building a ton of new apartment buildings near downtown. I wonder if those are included in the number of new "homes."

I need to get on at Boeing since its @ Legacy West where all them dimes and cougars be

Hell I have been working a mile from original Legacy for the past decade and it has always been nice eye candy there. I cannot imagine what happens when Legacy West is going full on with the new Toyota talent coming in.

This growth in Collin County has been an amazing ride, I was here when the tollway was not and 121 was 2 lanes with red lights .

You are right about there is going to be another Loop built 75 miles from downtown, amazing.

In our future, high speed rail to Houston and Hyperloop to Austin/San Antonio.
