Lot of cruisers on here that are about to get their jimmies rustled.
You’re correct though, it’s like a floating wal mart, except most of the people think that being there makes them sophisticated.

Going on one at the end of April. I swore I'd never do a cruise again after our first Carnival experience (I honestly had no clue what it would be like and hated it). Now I have a 3 year old, so we decided on this over actual Disney trip. For over 4 times the cost, it better be a nicer experience.

Cruises are nothing than hotels where, if I leave, I die.
If I wanted that experience, I’d just go stay in New Orleans.

I’m at the point where I’d rather be around trashy people than pretentious A-holes. I know a guy and his wife that try so hard to fit in with the upper crust in Houston and it’s nauseating listening to his stories of who he saw at a fund raiser and where he went on vacation. His wife is always making digs at him about not being able to have a nicer car, house or vacation due to lack of funds. One of his kids got married and he financed the wedding and said it would be years before its paid off. Give me trashy people all day long....but not too trashy.

Wrong. Cruises aren't white trash. CARNIVAL cruises are white trash. Its the Walmart of the Seas. If you want to go on a cruise, then pay alot of money and go on a respectable one.

I have found that it’s pretty easy to get laid on cruises. When we’re all stuck on a boat together it’s impossible for them to run away

The only see I’d do is one of the yatch type things with about twenty passengers. Mediterranean or Caribbean.

Depends on the cruise. Sounds like you are uneducated on the subject as I once was.
Liberty of the Seas by Royal Caribbean is a 5 Star vacation and will cost you about $2,000 if done right. This is the way to go and we just got back from one.
I think you’re referring to the $400 Carnival cruises.

I have a friend who takes his parents on a cruise once a year. They are not cheap and the cruises he takes seem pretty nice regarding feedback and photos.

we did a cruise to Alaska and Canada and I can assure you it was not trashy or stupid. It was by far one of our greatest memories. again, you get what you pay for.

It doesn't matter. Anyone who would want to be crammed on a boat with thousands of other people and do the most touristy things possible is trashy. Same people who eat at outback and think it's not trashy cause it's more expensive than Chili's

Have done Alaska, Disney, and Norwegian.
Wouldn't call any of them trashy. Am totally down for a trashy vacation tho-planning on trying carnival next year.
