Yes I've known people who were like this. It's an abomination, IMO. Either ignore each other or leave each other alone, but don't just shite all over each other. I like to think I'd role out on my wife if she treated me this way. Some people thrive on anger/misery/conflict. I just don't get it.

Thank you my man.. All these jerk offs must not ever get out around others.

Oh okay, so everyone you know is just perfect right? No one you know does nothing that is considered "trashy"? I bet you are fun.

below the belt comments are never okay (IMO you have to fight fair in a relationship), but they do happen when things get heated and tempers flare. What makes your friends trashy is that they actually do that kind of stuff in front of people routinely.

They should probably start seeing other people.
Total beta move if he let that dad comment slide.

If you don't know that couple it's because you are that couple.

Before I clicked on this thread I just knew it would be a typical GCS story about 'this guy I know' or 'this friend of mine' or 'this couple next door'

"Why can't you be like your mom and have a halfway decent body?". That should get the ball rolling

Yes. My best friend and her husband. They didn't care who they fought in front of. It was very awkward, and often times it would be in front of their kids too. I would feel like I had to take the kids and distract them. Thankfully, they're at a point now where they hardly talk to each other at all. It's quite refreshing.

I agree.. Its completely trashy. As individuals they are not what I would call "trashy", but when they are together its like an all out war and anything goes.

It doesn't matter to me that someone calls them trashy, but there are people on the board who does it without adding any dialog.

My wife and I have had one public fight. Let's just put it this way, she will not ever bring me Dr. Pepper when I asked for Cherry Coke again.

In these situations, its not trashy. Cherry Coke and Dr Pepper are not even close. I hope you slapped her.

My SO and I haven't had a public fight since the great JL/JJ debate of 2011.

My theory is that a lot of couples thrive on the attention and simply enjoy the competition. It gets them off, and then they go home and have make up sex. It's just a game.

I know a couple like that too. I have seen more than 20 damn huge fights between them, and four break-ups in the past 15 years.

I think the worst in public fight I ever had, was a mean glance and walking off.

I was at the club yesterday and this guy got upset with his wife, flipped a chair, flipped off his buddy, cursed another guy out and took off.
I could never imagine not giving a F on that level to be so trashy.

Would you agree that it would be better for the kids if they would just split up instead of exposing them to this or is it already too late?

My and the gf will go at it in public every now and then. But it is always about bullshite like baseball and never lasts longer than a few minutes. About the same as me and a buddy will do.
