I have dogs and a cat. I have observed them over the last six years together. The cat is fricking stupid. The dogs are just dumb.

Proof:
My cat will chase a laser pointer into a wall. The dogs bat at it a couple times and then they are over it.

Pound for pound, big cats (except cheetas) are the apex land predator. They instinctively go straight for the neck (instant kill). A pit may be more muscular but a cougar would take it out before it could do much damage.

No, they don't. They belong to the "cat-like" group. Have you ever noticed a hyena and a mongoose look alike in the face? They are related.

I'd take my chances vs a lion over a hyena any day of the week.

Believe we would have more in common & would vibe better with me

cougar is probably double the size of a pit.

at least.

and much stronger.

pit bull would have one shot. get in, clamp down and hang on.

if there is give and take, cougar wins.

who would win in a fight...a pit bull or cougar?

Cougar.

No question. Pitt would be dead instantly. Not a chance. The cougar kills every thing it eats so it has much more experience.

Hell I saw a video of one killing a crocodile, or it might have been a leopard, but they are probably about the same in killing styles.

We had them in our neighborhood when I lived in the Seattle suburbs along with bobcats and black bears.

Supposedly they have seen them in our community here in Frisco, TX but I find it to be somewhat unlikely.

Wild animals will avoid confrontation for survival. I wouldn't be surprised if the dog chased it away.

A dog can be trained to give its life at your command. A cougar would defer to self-preservation.

But, yeah, a cougar is badass. My dad hunted them when he lived in Argentina.

One time, they set traps and a cougar had one arm in the trap. The dogs went ahead and my dad said when they got there the cougar sliced the dogs neck with the other paw. The paw got stuck in neck and blood was everywhere.

A cool fact about lions: the darker the mane, the more testosterone he has. If you see a lion with a really dark mane, just know you are truly looking at the O-T Alpha.
