That's a huge assumption, imo.
I don't know exactly what it is exactly, but I think it's safe to say that a lie like occasionally telling your wife you're at work when you actually went to get a beer with your friends is not considered abuse.

I believe cops abusing is higher than the average. She should have done an accurate study and presented a reasonable finding, instead of looking like an idiot.

If you're educated with a stable job and in a stable relationship that probably means you don't typically hang out with the types that dominate domestic abuse statistics.

I honestly don't know anyone that raises a hand to their wife. I also don't know many men that put up with a mouthy woman, but that's another topic.
