This was one of the first games I worked, so I am no expert. From what I gathered it seems like each corner makes a good faith effort to try and work together.
The commanders that plan everything really do work their asses off trying to predict problems and plan everything in advance. I was suprised at the amount of information and detailed master plans that send out several times a month in advance.

Agreed.
The intersection I worked at was pretty easy to follow the plan. I can't speak for the others.

I was responding to a poster who implied that a cop working traffic shouldn't be allowed to call a college kid a dumb arse.

I got there right after they blocked it off. literally the car in front of me turned left onto brightside.
So I roll down the window and one cop yells "Go straight!". I reply with "I live on brightside"
The other cop says "Ok." and then they put up the barricade and ignored me. So I went to the next apt complex, did a Uey and turned right on brightside. We really struggled to not yell "frick off cops" or something similar.

The system definitely inconveniences the locals, but I am guessing someone made the decision that it was a necessary sacrifice in order to accommodate the other 90k commuters.

It's the cops who think they are entitled to respect because they wear the badge even though all they do is harass college kids 5 days a week that get to me.
