Good choice, Jindal has gutted Louisiana higher education and rendered the state into a bigger laughing stock than it ever has been before.

NO.

You will want to kill yourself sitting in your car for 2.5 fricking hours a day. so glad I left Houston.

If you must do Texas, I'd do either South austin or San Antonio.

If not, I'd choose Nashville.

We have three kids (14,12, 2) and would like to move somewhere that provides the kids with better schooling and opportunities for success later on in life. We'd also like the job and housing market to be bountiful. Any of you know of any areas that meet all of our criteria?

Are you in the Oil and Gas Industry?

If not, you can pretty much throw a dart at the map of the US and still do better than La (excepting Ark, Miss, and Bama of course).

Madison is decent, but honestly, Jackson is horrible.

Nobody is going to choose to go to Mississippi except misguided high school quarterbacks.

Reading the responses in this thread I have to ask. You guys do know that there are 48 states in the US besides La. and Texas, right?
