I'm sure they make some nice shoes, but none of the ones you pictured qualify.

It's hard to find images when they won't let you just use the image url.

I think the ones in the first picture are pretty nice, though.

I love Johnston & Murphy's and have never had any problem with the shoes not lasting.

Just terrible. Especially the ones with the two seems that ran from the side up through the toe.

I have a pair of Black Magnannis. They do not compare to the AE, in my opinion.

Preference, I guess. I like my Magnannis more than my AE's.

My prayers were answered and they went out of style.

People started wearing them on their boots and people realized it was ridiculous .

If I'm spending that kind of money on some kind of clothing, it's going to be something that was popular in the past, is popular now, and will be popular in the future. These fad fashions look stupid in a few years.

If you have big feet, square toes are an awful idea.

I personally like the squared toe with the strap and buckle over the bridge of the shoe. Not sure why thos ever went out of style.

Allen Edmonds for anyone not dropping a boatload on shoes is the way to go

Not only are they top tier dress shoes, when you consider prices for resoling and finishing the shoes, the cost per day of use for the shoes are significantly cheaper than even some bargain brands

They are the only ones that seem to match their AE brand walnut perfectly. Every other brand jacks up the color
