I have cole haan driving mocs. They're not even 2 years old and in pretty terrible shape already. Not sure if the dress shoes hold up any better.

I like my cole Haans. The nike air ones are comfortable as hell. My drivers get pretty scuffed up and shite but that's expected. The penny loafers I have are good

Allen Edmonds. They're having their annual rediscover America sale, which is the best price you'll get site-wide all year. A lot of their shoes are running $250 during the sale, and they're much, much better than Cole Haan, with goodyear welting...meaning they'll last a lifetime.

We just had this discussion. CH rubber soles are bad.

Hard soles are being transitioned to hard rubber.

Leather scuffs and cuts easily.

Instead of buying two $120 pair of CH. Go buy one great pair of AE.

My cajun wife (no pics) bought me some Cole Haan shoes about 10 years ago. When she got home she said, "I guess Kenneth Cole merged with some company named Haan."

Alden is not the best shoe made, and is priced well out of the range he appears to be looking in.

I've had mine for two years and they've held up. Pretty comfortable, but about time for some new ones.

Tell me a shoe better than Alden. Price range doesn't matter when you get what you pay for. Please don't reply with a cheesy Italian

This guy knows what he's talking about. Buy:

1 black Park Ave or Fifth Ave
1 brown/burgundy Park Ave or Fifth Ave
1 walnut Strand

You have a shoe for every dressy/semi-dressy/business casual occasion and if you take care of them, you'll never have to buy another pair of dress shoes.
