I'm going to get this wrong so I apologize in advance. I recently had a cigar that was a collaboration between drew estates and rocky Patel. It was a "java mint". Infused cigar. It smelled like mint chocolate chip ice cream. Very good. It was the first "infused" cigar that I have ever had. I went back and bought more of them.

What is the thought on the infused cigars?

Had a couple in my humidor saved for anyone I'd get to smoke with who were new to cigars & would benefit from having some flavor to enjoy the first time. Let a good friend and my brother in law try them and they essentially were on a caffeine high for the next several hours. Made them feel kinda sick, and I felt bad. But it was funny.

I have tried them before and I don't like the flavored ones. I like the smell when someone else is smoking them but they make me quesy.

That was their experience for sure. And they said they felt super jittery and couldn't sleep. Glad I wasn't the test dummy for it.

I've been on a Connecticut kick recently. I picked up a couple of good ones today. Had an Avo Uvezian XO earlier that I really enjoyed. Tomorrow will be the Perdomo Habano. Excited about that one.

I have tried most of the acid's

The only infused one I have developed a taste for is the Tabek Especial Dulce line, absolutely scrumptious with an afternoon French Press.

Montecristo #2 will never get off my pedestal. Usually classic but tried the torpedo recently. It was wonderful.

Smoking that Perdomo Habano right now. Overall very pleased with it. Fantastic flavor, light and creamy, and the burn has been fairly even. The draw has been a bit tight, and there was a split early on, but it didn't seem to impact the burn. Will definitely be adding a few to the humidor.

Past few months I've tried a few good cigars. Really enjoying a cigar on the weekend evenings. All the big names and such have been recommended but how about good bargain buys.
Looking for some good cigars to keep on hand for a good price. Any recommendations.

Smoked a Davidoff 2000 at a cigar shop in Boston a few days ago and that may have been the smoothest smoke I've ever had

Crawdaddy, don't forget J*R Cigars, too. Their J*R Ultimates are fine cigars at a fair price.

Consuegra, also known in the cigar community as "Connies." Connies aren't as good as they once were, but are still great for the price. These are the seconds of Honduran-made Hoyo de Monterrey, Punch, El Rey del Mundo, Belinda, Hoyo Excalibur. Great deals, the #9 has always been sought after.

There's a new brand there, too, called Easy Eddies. Had one this last weekend, worth every penny.

At CI, anything, including seconds from Pinar del Rio (PdR) are great. I have the catalog, but not in front of me, so I'm going in blind.

Perdomo Fresh-Rolled, is another from CI, only.
Puros Indios Viejos

I'll be back later with more for you.

CAO was killing the game at one point, then comes Rocky Patel and now LFD. Are cigars supposed to be trendy?

Some cheaper smokes I've bought and liked are the Bahia Red and Nica Libre.

For a little more money, I also like the Camacho Triple Maduro, CAO Brazila, and Tatuje Tattoo.

My favorites are the Padron 4000 maduros. They're not cheap but they aren't expensive either.

If I have a go-to cigar it's Punch Punch. But these are also in the mix:
Montecristo No. 4
Partagas 898 Varnished
Cohiba Siglo VI
Partagas Serie D No. 4
If I'm in the mood for a big honkin torpedo I'll go with a Montecristo No. 2
