I see you are a fricking moron. Nice.
Cruise control is for open highway with no close traffic. Anyone who uses it otherwise is an idiot.

Somebody runs over them and if they survive they may pay attention to yield signs.
On Ramp for I-759 here in Gadsden,AL.
People turning to their Rt. doing 50 mph vs people turning left from a dead stop.
They have a Yield sign also but 50% go thru it without even looking to their right.
eta:Not merge,yield.

Same with people merging onto interstates. I cannot for the life of me understand why some people slow down while on the IS to let people merge - I was taught either you speed up or get over

No. I'm not some fool that just goes blindly hauling down the interstate at one set speed (pulled out of thin air mind you), traffic conditions be damned.
I drive the car, I don't let the car drive me.

I has dat smart cruise control.

You can't be serious. If you fluctuate your speed on the interstate when you don't have to then you don't know how to drive. Cruise control is designed so that you can maintain a constant speed. Which is an essential key to having a good traffic flow on an interstate (or any highway). Obviously nobody is advocating driving with cruise control in heavy traffic. If they are then they are apparently as dense as you for saying cruise control is not needed on the open road.

I couldn't be more serious. Traffic conditions vary all the time so should your speed. This is glaringly obvious. You just blindly go down the road at a speed YOU think best, like 75? LOL. No one set speed is appropriate unless you're in Montana.
And if you can't keep a set speed when you want with your foot, turn in your man card.
Like I said, I drive the car. I don't let it drive me.

The inability some people have to properly use the cruise control truly baffles me at times.
Seriously ......if you were one of these people help me understand why you cannot use or will not use a fricking cruise control on the interstate.
Bc my adaptive cruise control camera on the front of my car is dirty so it doesn't allow me to switch it on. The car wash didn't clean it enough and I'm too lazy to do it myself. Next question.

I live in N. Dallas and I can vouch for you, bro. hardly anyone yields to anything over here. Crazy arse people.

Yeah,I always look that way and see if they're slowing down.If not I let them have it.
They're a few trouble spots around in Gadsden,AL.

I'd like to see you get on the interstate and keep a constant 70 mph with your feet for hours at a time. Although this is the OT, so I'm sure you have the precise foot mechanics and internal speedometer to accomplish this task. Constantly having to check your speed and adjust is just unnecessary on the interstate if there is no real traffic.
I ride with my foot resting on the accelerator when I use cruise control just as if I were pressing it, so that if I need to brake, it's the same natural motion. So if you are looking at it as people who use cruise just treating it like auto-pilot and not paying attention, I guess I can see your point. Otherwise, the fuel savings and the steady flow of traffic are 10x's better with cruise. I can't tell you how many people I come up to going about 5 mph slower than me. I get over and proceed to pass in the left lane, then all of a sudden they are going faster than me. If there are cars behind me, it then throws off the whole balance of the road and starts to screw up traffic.

imagine a traffic light turning green and all of the cars in line start moving at exactly the same time bc they are synchronized.

I don't use cruise control because I stay faster than traffic. I like to keep around 80. When driving farther than say 20 miles I use it, or in places I know I need to hold say 35 or 45.
On the interstate though I am constantly flashing to pass and CC wouldn't work for me.

interstate traffic
My cruise control works just fine all the time at 85 in Montana.
