re: Chauna Banks pens letter describing how to fix North BR.

Most of these counties are in Red States

Look up the Mayor's of these county seats and get back to me.

Meanwhile here's the top ten poorest cities. It's more accurate of a picture than an entire county of fewer than 3000 people. These are major cities.
Top poorest Cities in the country

1. Detroit (Mike Duggan - Democrat)
2. Milwaukee (Tom Barrett - Democrat)
3. Memphis (Jim Strickland - Democrat)
4. Philadelphia (Jim Kenney - Democrat)
5. Tuscon (Jonathan Rothschild - Democrat)
6. Baltimore (Catherine Pugh - Democrat )
7. Fresno (Lee Brand - Republican)
8. Indianapolis (Joe Hogsett - Democrat)
9. El Paso (Dee Margo - Republican)
10. Chicago, IL (Rahm Emmanuel - Democrat)
11. Boston, Democrat
12. Dallas, Democrat
13. Louisville, Democrat
14. Houston, Democrat
15. Albuquerque (Republican)

Also the irony of all this is that Colin Kaepernick started protesting the unfair discrimination by police that happens in most major cities. Who's in charge of the police departments in most Urban cities? And why do blacks keep voting at 90% rate for Democrats?

Well, please give me a more palatable explanation of how taxing one side of town, giving that money, risk-free, to another side of town with no expectation of return, and taxing the receiving side of town virtually nothing supposed to be "leveling the playing field".

As I said, I don't agree with what she's saying but I understand the idea behind it. If you have, let's say, a football team. Everyone on the team is a stud except for a couple of people who aren't performing for whatever reason. If you know the performers are going to continue to perform it makes sense to spend time and resources "coaching up" the under-performers.

Having said that, this isn't a "team" and government doesn't work this way. What will actually happen is the good areas will slide, the bad areas will improve marginally, and we're left with a decidedly average city.

I would liken it to a sales company. Half the company brings in the majority of the income, the other half is lower performers and admin staff on overhead. In a decision to make things fair, the CEO decides to, in order to make sure everyone is getting fair treatment financially, take away bonus programs and financial and health benefits for the top half of the office and gives all those proceeds to the bottom half. If you were in that top half, would you stay at that company?

It doesn't work that way, you spend time coaching up your best players because they have higher ceilings. Coaching untalented players does very little in comparison.

diagnosis is “oppression.”

How is NBR oppressed? Go ride through any neighborhood during all hours of the day and you will see people gathered on the front porch drinking beer, smoking, bbqing, and hanging out. If that's oppressed sign me the frick up.

She referenced the mother taking care of the sick child and the healthy child but no mention of the husband(daddy). Why did she leave him out?

It's an alien concept to her

How can you take a councilwoman serious, where on her FB page, her work experience is

"Frequent Changes at WHEREVER THEY WRITE CHECKS"

"WHATEVER THEY TELL ME TO DO"

That's actually a very interesting point

It never occurred to her to think of a normal family unit in her analogy.

In my example I clearly said "under-performing" not "untalented". There's a massive difference.

Well the last part is certainly true considering her district she reps
