You trolls paying these ridiculous fees aren't hunting at all.

Yeah. If you really want to help the animals don't give your money to people that want to invest in conservation; just complain on the internet and make a real difference.

What percentage of those hunters are primarily motivated by conservation, be honest.

I feel I'm pretty fair in this thread, if we're honest, they want the thrill and the trophy, they're not paying thousands to be charitable.

Not sure about that, but I would think people who promote conservation hunts would be wary of this particular situation. It's a stain on those who do this stuff the correct way.

Feel free to prove that at anytime. I've only been asking you all thread. But you won't, because you don't know shite. Just like I've been saying all thread. You're all talk without an iota of evidence to back up your claims.

They baited a lion from a game reserve and shot him with an arrow. They didn't find him until the next morning and the lion was still alive He was the most famous animal at the park. It is pretty fricking heinous. I love hunting and fishing, but what these people did was pretty crappy.

CBS news is about to run the story on the evening news. Stand by for the dentist's yelp to get lit up again.

Most of the hunters that I know take conservation seriously. As a group, we want the animals to thrive and be healthy; depleted numbers and smaller animals is not good for the sport, if for no other reason. Your point is valid in that most of us are in it for the sport, but the conservation aspect also has to be in place.

I won't argue with that, but it's still a byproduct of their thrill seeking. There's a ton of people that make donations purely for motives other than the greater good.

Pettifogger only goes to football games because he cares about the library renovations.

I agree. Just contesting the idea that the hunters have purely noble motives. It's an interesting tension dynamic I think, both sides need the other.

I don't like football, only NASCAR. And I go because sometimes people die.

I walked an average of 18 miles per day during my time in South Africa. It was far from easy or a "guided tour".

So because you walked with guides that's hunting in your mind? You had guides and people to show you where to go. That lion would've eaten you alive had you been by yourself. You paid for a guided tour.

i really hope his dental partner leaves him, sues him for damages, and that walter has been living beyond his means and loses everything.

All guided hunts are nothing but guided tours?

I assume guided fishing trips are just boat rides also.

And most people that charter offshore fishing would be lost at sea without a guide. What is your point

Heck, I hire a guide to go quail hunting. And I'm still alive to talk about it.

Apparently Cecil is not alone. Louisiana has it's own proud hunter, right here in Baton Rouge. Could it be a dentist thing?
