He bought food at the convenience store and was giving it to other homeless people some of whom he didn't even know. He didn't buy any liquor at the convenience store.

I have actually bought homeless guys beer quite a few times. They were super pumped when the got it.
I like chilling and drinking beer from time to time so I figured they would too

When I was a little kid I remember riding around New Orleans with my dad. We were stopped at a light and watched one homeless guy steal another homeless guy's shoes while he was sleeping on a bench. The guy woke up but there was no way he was going to catch the shoe thief. My dad rolled down the window and called the guy over and handed him an unopened bottle of Jack Daniels that someone had given him as a gift.
I thought the homeless guy was going to cry...

I bought a homeless guy Arby's once and he was so grateful and starting eating before we drove off. It made me feel like a good person
