Disney also doesn't sell alcohol though right? Doesn't look like enough to me.

Well, you can't have any beverages in your checked bags..only your carry-ons. So, bring all the clothes you want. All that crap in the picture fit in one carry except three of the 1.75's. Those I had to pack in another bag.

ah my b.

i'd bring a fake baby so i have baby bags.

Fill scope bottle with vodka, add blue food coloring.

Or you could do like my Paw paw and just buy Dr Tichenor's and drink it straight.

The wife brah...the wife. Parade ground is for me. Plus I bought the beer package. (22oz refills for the cost of a pint). Not that their beer selection os all that good, but fairly certain Disney Cruise line has Abita.

The Lemon Shandy is da bomb tho

when do you have time to train?

My wife is an absolute Saint! Been averaging about 12 hours week for this block. After we get back from the beach in July, I'll be looking at 14-16 hour training weeks with regularity. ALOT of early mornings and long saturdays.

Chattanooga is for Ironman though, so while it is a family vacation, there are other things going on as well.

No, they do. Just like every other cruise line. Disney even has better options for drink and wine packages than most other cruise lines, although they do not offer an all you can drink type package like royal caribbean and carnival.

Here is one of their wine packages.

Here is the Disney Cruise line beer mug package. $15 and you get a 22oz beer for the price of a 160z beer during your cruise.

Sounds like a terrible deal.

I just got off of cruise a few days ago (not Carnival, which from my understanding brings together an incredibly low-class segment of society). The trip was organized by my family. While I certainly had a nice time, I can unequivocally say the trip was my first and last on cruise-liner.

I understand why people try to sneak alcohol aboard. While the prices on the ship weren't completely outrageous, they weren't exactly cheap either. IIRC, a bottle of Budweiser was $5.95. Cocktails ranged from $7.00 - $15.00 with VERY meticulously measured small portions of alcohol. There was an "all-inclusive" daily alcohol package offered for $50. But the catch was that you were obligated to buy it everyday if you went that route. $50 x 7 = $350. Maybe not a horrible deal (relatively speaking) if you planned on getting shite-faced on the boat, but it didn't make much sense to buy when 4 of the 7 days we were on land all day.

Again, I'm glad I went and was grateful that my family included me in the experience. However, the on ship experience felt much like a floating daily time share pitch.

It's definitely a personal decision, but it isn't like the port days you aren't on the ship at all. You still have dinner on the boat, still a show that night, maybe go to a club etc.

BUT, lets say on four port/land days you don't have one single alcoholic beverage on the ship (which is highly unlikely) you pay $350 for three days/nights of unlimited drinking. I don't know about you guys, but I spend about $100 just about any time I go out and drink all day.

I always smuggle liquor on board, and have never brought on bottles.

Since carnival is eliminating smuggling booze, thus theoretically increasing sales, I fully expect to see an overall drop in cruise fares.

Makes perfect sense. It's a common strategy in the marketplace to increase revenue in one manner, then cut revenue in another. Happens all the time.

the pool areas are too crowded, too much fighting over seating etc, not very relaxing.
