Carnival sells the drink packages for I think like $55/day.

That's very reasonable. Not sure why people would go through all of that other hassle if this is an option.

If it is indeed $55/day, I can't say that that is unreasonable.

You mean these clowns are getting this upset when they could buy $4 beers?

I think carnival limits you to 15 drinks per day. And not that you can't have any more free drinks, you can't have ANY drinks unless someone buys them for you. Carnival is pretty strict thought about making the same people in the same room have to have the package. So, if you drink alot and your wife doesn't, it may not be worth it.

Royal Caribbean on the other hand does not require everyone in the room (over 21) to get the package and is completely unlimited.

Some people at work went on a Carnival Cruise last year and spent a week cleaning out shampoo bottles and sunscreen bottles to sneak on their alcohol. Exhibit A of why I don't go on these things with these trashy arse people.

Sounds like you work with stupid people. There are places to buy empty bottles for this precise reason.

Last cruise I went on I used those and rum runners tucked away in folded jeans. No issues, and no messing with bottles are resealing cases of anything.

So it impossible to enjoy a cruise without alcohol ?

A Carnival Cruise? When I'm surrounded by literally everything I hate about our country, absolutely. But then again I'm not trash, so I don't go on Carnival Cruises.

You can't buy $4 beers. You can buy $4 Mich Ultras though.

That sounds about right. Alot of them do specials where you can buy a 22oz beer mug and pay for 16oz refills throughout the cruise. Don't want to carry the mug, no biggie they will just give you a clean one each trip.

Why don't you just shove a vodka soaked tampon up your arse like a real man?

Rum runners work way better anyway. I've been with a group that got 10 bags through with 2 in each bag. And tons of people were getting busted around us with regular bottles.

$35.00 a day and you can have all the beer you want? That's not a bad deal at all. I'd just do that the whole time.

So $4 a beer. A little high but if I am on vacation then oh well. Just about any touristy vacation places charge higher prices than your neighborhood Chilis.

I am not a fan of cruises because I don't like being on a time schedule when on vacation.

I don't base the cost of my vacation on what it costs to get where I am going. I base the cost of my vacation on what the total price will be when I get home.

All of the people that are bitching about this, are the ones that think they can go on a Carnival cruise for $299 for five days. They fail to figure in that there are other costs. If that is all you can afford then fine. Save two months of your government checks next time so you can afford to buy the alcohol or don't drink.

I just have a hard time buying drinks that are that highly priced no matter where I am...if I go to a bar and it's not happy hour, I'm usually just having one beer...I'm not down with $10 specialty drinks.

I'm more than content sneaking in my own booze and making my own drinks.
