Medical Marijuana laws are not the same thing as recreational marijuana laws.....that study means almost nothing.

Also, someone mentioned the "habitual offenders" coming to Colorado as one possible explanation of the increase...Have you priced going to Colorado? I don't think loser potheads can really afford to just get up and go to Colorado...

You're pissing in the wind with this bunch. Today's drivers will run over fixed objects with abandon (the very definition of reckless driving), whether high or not.

"Get out if my way it's my road! Why were you in my way when I rear-ended you?"

Could be that their population has increased around 14%, making it a wash

There are a lot of things like that that need to be considered for the stats in the OP to have any meaning, including a comparison of the growth rate of accidents prior to legalization. OP is deliberately manipulative and misleading or just plain ignorant.

Seems like something a piece of shite like Jeff Sessions would do.

Is not legal, so it would not hold up in court.

fricking idiots who drive while stoned make it harder for responsible smokers. It's always the idiots and addicts who ruin things for everyone else.

I bet that has nothing to do with the huge increase in population and every thing to do with the people being high on weed, amirite?

.

Actually a big problem in Denver right now. All the burnouts from across the country are flooding here so they can work in the industry. Don't know why they think they can go from being useless to useful just bc it's a new industry. If you're in town take a ride by downtown bus stations... lots of young kids being homeless bc they thought they could continue being a pos and just stroll right into the business. It's sad

Really? I mean really...do you need to look at the methodology to conclude that legalizing MJ is going to lead to more instances of driving under the influence?

You know that people is Colorado are smoking more, thus driving stoned more, and you just don't want to admit it.

That's impossible. When I lived there in the 80's the city passed several ordinances to limit further growth.

Of course the city was run by morons then and probably still is.

Considering the National number of car wreck fatalities has also increased by 14% over the past two years. Something tells me there's more to this than pot

If you are going to disregard proper use of empirical methods and rely only on blind assertions rather than data driven conclusions then why bring up data in the first place? Just say that you are right just because and be over with it.

I've definitely tried some at some point that would have impaired my driving. I was wondered about this stat. I could see an indica totally messing with someone's vision and depth perception.

Also, frick Jeff Sessions.

With the democratic party imploding, if the Republicans would pass marijuana reform just at the federal level they'd loop in a bunch of young people and moderates.

I'm not even talking legalization. Just move it out of Sched. 1 at the federal level.

It's insane that the federal government considers marijuana more dangerous than meth, cocaine, opiates, etc....

It would be the ultimate MAGA.

If they even rescheduled it I'd jump on the train.
