I like buying new. I don't like other people driving my vehicles, or maintaining my vehicle. I will always find flaws in a used vehicle, and it bothers me.
I love my $30k 2014 Accord. Great car, great value.

and for this reason, i prefer leasing. i don't drive a ton of miles, i don't mod my cars, and i like to have a new car every few years so leasing is perfect for me. one thing to keep in mind is that not all leases are the same, some makes and models have better lease programs(higher residuals, lower money factor) than others.

I can think of several more satisfying things in life, and I've driven off a car lot in a new car. Sliding into a fine piece of pussy for the first time, for one.

There is a lot to be said for this. My best friend just got a new SL Benz that was just over 100k all in with the options he got but it gets around 40mpg, I would bet the 2012 version got around half of that.

Get a new Camry for 25K.
Drive the 3 yr old german luxury for 4 years and you'll very likely incur $5-10K worth of maintenance/repairs.

My sentiments too. I haven't actually owned a vehicle since 1992.

I've leased fifteen new vehicles since 1992 as an alternative to ownership. I'm more than qualified to speak to new vs. used. Why don't you take your snark somewhere else?

I don't think people who buy 100k cars give a shite about gas mileage. I buy $40k cars and don't care about mileage.

I know the venerable Honda Accord gets little love on the OT. But they are damn fine cars and look better than they used to.
Honda still makes the lowest mainentance cars and best engines on earth in terms of reliability.

Secondly the warranty means little as most new cars rarely are repaired under warranty
It depends on the deal and the car. I would buy the Accord for the right price(below dealer invoice)
I would not buy the benz or BMW only because you are going to spend much of your money in the service bay and they are not cheap
Now the Lexus LS450 is a great vehicle and again for the right price I would drive that
It is hard to belive you are going to get a low mileage, late model Lexus in the same price range as an accord
