the rest of us don't care except to think less of those that make a point of letting us know their gun stories. 90% of these GI wannabes would be shot with their own weapon in a real life & death situation.
They don't give a frick what you think

Carrying inside of the mall. What's the legality of carrying inside the mall. Pretty sure you can't. And in Missouri, it's constitutional carry so no need for a CCL
as a gun owner, it is your responsibility to know all of these things.

You're really an arse, Nugget.

Yep. If you're going to carry one, be responsible

I think it was smart judgement considering it would be nearly impossible to know the exact rules on every single place you may have to go into during the day when carrying. When in doubt I think it should be best to leave it un-visible in a locked secured car.

Some of y'all are fricking idiots
And this thread is a shitshow

So 7th you pretty much know who did this? It was after a child custody hearing right.

You're the dumbass that said you'll never die by a gun.

I've never needed my seat belt, I still wear it.
That is some retarded logic.

In the last year alone, just in my small little universe, the stats are:
3 people had guns stolen from their cars
0 people (this actually goes for my whole life) that have uad to use a gun in self defense.
Don't mis-hear me, I am 100% for people's rights to carry, but the numbers don't lie that you are a lot more likely to have a gun stolen than you are to have to use one.

I'm not carrying into a federal building, but if I got stuck carrying into a building with the sign I'd either not go in or go in, do my business and leave and expect no issues like 100% of my other carrying experiences.
Both are better options than leaving in vehicle. If this was a one off for OP, fine, shite happens. But it's an extremely shitty practice.

Very serious. I've never never never ever needed a gun in my car. Nor do I know anyone in my extended family that's ever needed a gun in their car. So I asked the question.
Why? Do you carry a loaded gun in your car?
If you wait until you need it to get one, it'll be too late.

So, just because someone doesn't have to use something doesn't mean that there isn't a value placed on 'peace of mind'
I'm guessing that catostrophic insurance premium stolen out of your bank account is being jacked for a peace of mind right? Hopefully it never has to be used but I bet you sleep better at night knowing it's there.
Yeah just because a thief does thief shite, someone should change their ways.....if you care about guns being stolen, how about you start advocating that anyone that is caught stealing a firearm does a mandetory minimum of 15 years in prison without the possibility of early probation or parole and are labeled violent offenders? Place your care somewhere where it try's to alter the ones that are in the wrong for once....

I was clear in my post that I support people's rights, but "peace of mind" is, for most people, all it gets them.
And yes, I also 100% support bigtime sentences for those who steal guns. Leaving guns in cars does not save anyone's life though. People who leave their guns in their car overnight and then complain that it was stolen right from their driveway get no sympathy from me. Obviously, this situation is a little different.

Well duh. Robberies are way more common than shootings.

Yes, and you can prevent being robbed of your gun by not leaving it in your car, where it is not protecting you either. Do you know anyone that has ever had to fire a gun in self defense anyway? I know I know, it's about the one time you do need it, but it is just so rare, unless you are travelling to certqin places at certain times. The mall in the middle of the day when you aren't even going to bring it with?
Posted on 2/19/17 at 8:58 pm to SherluckHomey
IMO not having one on you is aberrant behavior.
