What kind of shoes are you wearing in the board room? I'm partial to Allen Edmonds and have three pairs, but I'm looking to try something new.

I am all about practicality in shoes, so I basically wear either some rockport business casual shoes or hiking boots, depending on what I am doing that day....
if I need to dress up, I upgrade shirt, etc to do so...

but to answer your question, just go into a shoe store and trying to bunch of shoes, I am often surprised at the comfort level that various shoes offer. Cole Hahn and Johnston and Murphy have been pretty consistent over my career. Besides, if you have on a custom suit with a tailored shirt, there would be no reason for anybody to look at your shoes.

I have this cool pair of Nikes that are black with chartreuse highlights. Seems to work for me and keeps me light on my feet.
