Judge Marabella should be the one ynder question here. Ridiculous
I've been personal friends with Tony for years and I'm going to ask him about this situation the next time I see him.
I have a feeling the BRPD misrepresented why they needed a search warrant when they presented their request to him.
If he knew what it was all about and he issued the search warrant, he will not be pleased with what I tell him.

The simpleton voters in this city keep electing these same assholes.

This is the problem:
So they can use a blank/non-specific warrant to harass anyone?

The warrant didn't even mention a crime. The fact that it went through means the judge is not even giving them a cursory glance. What a joke.

I would go after the mayor, the judge and BRPD with a vengeance if I was this man.

Sad part of this turns into a lawsuit I guess the only one hurt is the tax payers.
How long do we put up with the brpd doing this until we say enough is enough?
We have a sheriff that we elect and everyone pays taxes to basically do the exact same job except the sheriff we elect covers the whole parish.
If the sheriff dept was run as poorly as brpd in 4 years we elect a new sheriff to clean house.

Sad part if I was taking a nap on the job in public ( in my car in a parking lot viewed by anyone walking in public) isn't it legal to take a picture of me?
What makes brpd any different?
If it turns into a federal lawsuit we need to look at doing away with this dept.

So cops will have less power in heaven than they do here on earth
Some food for thought.....

If you ask me he's a huge winner in all of this. If he really wants he can make money and cause some major grief to a few local fascist pigs.

Lol if you think he has a fraction of a chance of a lawsuit.

The first two have absolute immunity and the cops have qualified immunity. Good luck with that

This x1000. Our judges and local government are a joke. Kip proved he was a childish vindictive clown when he got in a public war over a cell phone with the former police chief.

Gotta love Kip and the great BRPD.
That's not Kip. That's just how cops in general operate. They're like a mafia.
eta: and apparently a judge is complicit as well.

So it's just outright and willful violation of the civil liberties enshrined in the Bill of Rights.
Awesome.
